Let’s be honest, babies are essentially born from faith, trust, and pixie dust. Finding out you are expecting is a moment of pure magic, and what better way to showcase a dream come true then a nursery that embodies that single thought and feeling – Disney. But how do you bring Disney design without overdoing it? I’m here to help.
Peter Pan always held a place in my heart. When it came to picturing a nursery, well the word itself conjures a scene of the Darling household, Wendy and her bedtime stories, boys playfully sword-fighting, shadows visible through an open window below a starry night sky. That’s the room I imagined for my child. A bedroom where he’ll be raised with storytelling, imagination and dreams. I thought of forts, pirate ships, pillowy clouds, watchful moon and shining star sky.
All of this resulted in the mood board below, a nursery designed in neutral wood, white, and grey tones with subtle nods to the heartwarming Disney story of a mischievous young boy who wishes to never grow up and abandon magical childhood adventures.
